Those that are familiar with matchmaker Paul Carrick Brunson refer to him as a “real-life modern-day Hitch.”

Brunson, a frequent contributor to ESSENCE.com with his relationship tips, will be hosting an original series on OWN Network.

The series, Lovetown, USA, will also be hosted by “love whisperer” Kailen Rosenberg, and will be the biggest dating challenge in television history.

The show will film in Kingsland, Ga., where for 30 days Brunson and Rosenberg will help eight singles find true love. Production is set to begin in upcoming months.

Lovetown, USA is part of OWN’s new strategy to appeal to more African-American viewers.
